01
Initial condition and installation
The engineer starts with the appliance, its location and available installation details. The boiler case, controls, flue route, ventilation requirements and signs of leakage or deterioration are considered before internal checks begin.
02
Internal inspection and cleaning
The boiler is opened where the manufacturer’s servicing procedure requires it. Relevant components are inspected and cleaned according to their condition and the appliance instructions—not simply disturbed without reason.
03
Operational and combustion checks
Gas rate or burner pressure and combustion readings are checked as appropriate. Safety devices, controls and the boiler’s response to demand are assessed before the appliance is returned to service.
04
Record and recommendations
The service record is updated where applicable. If deterioration or remedial work is found, Atlas Gas explains the concern and quotes separately before additional chargeable work proceeds.
